Indian Troops Resume Patrolling in Eastern Ladakh’s Demchok Sector

Indian troops began patrolling the Demchok sector in eastern Ladakh on Friday following a recent disengagement agreement with Chinese forces. According to Indian Army sources, patrolling in the Depsang sector, another area of tension, is expected to resume soon, ANI reported.

Disengagement Marks Progress in Sino-Indian Relations

An official from the Indian Army confirmed on Wednesday that both Indian and Chinese troops had completed the disengagement process at two key points of friction. This resolution paves the way for Indian forces to start patrolling in these areas.

Diwali Celebrations Along the Border

On Thursday, Indian (LAC) to celebrate Diwali. The exchange took place at several locations in eastern Ladaand Chinese troops exchanged sweets at multiple points along the Line of Actual Control kh, symbolizing a gesture of goodwill between the two sides.

Thaw in Relations After Disengagement

This exchange of greetings came just a day after both sides concluded their disengagement process in Demchok and the Depsang Plains. The event marks a positive step forward in relations between India and China, highlighting cooperation in the region following recent tensions.
