On January 20, 2025, the Indian Army’s Motorcycle Rider Display Team, the “Daredevils,” achieved a world record at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. They created the highest human pyramid on moving motorcycles. The pyramid, which stood at an impressive height of 20.4 feet, involved 40 men on 7 motorcycles. The team covered a distance of 2 kilometers, traveling from Vijay Chowk to India Gate.

Celebrating a Historic Accomplishment

The Daredevils, part of the Corps of Signals, have earned international fame for their exceptional performances. This latest feat adds to their collection of 33 world records. They hold entries in the Guinness World Records, the Asia Book of Records, and the Limca Book of Records.

After the successful attempt, the Daredevils received cheers from the Signals Fraternity, including Lieutenant General KV Kumar, Head of the Corps of Signals. Their performance boosted the team’s morale and marked the celebration of their achievement.

A Legacy of Excellence

Since its inception in 1935, the Daredevils have completed over 1,600 motorcycle displays across India. They have thrilled audiences at prestigious events such as Republic Day Parades, Army Day Parades, and Military Tattoos. Their dedication and skill continue to inspire and highlight the prowess of the Indian Army.

Special Guests at Republic Day Parade

For the 76th Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2025, around 10,000 special guests will attend the celebrations at Kartavya Path. These guests represent diverse fields and include top performers and individuals who have excelled through government initiatives.

Sarpanches from villages that have met key government targets have been invited. A national-level competition organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances selected these panchayats. Special guests also include members of Self Help Groups (SHGs) working on income generation, environmental protection, and healthcare. Some SHG members will attend for their work in food, nutrition, water sanitation, and gender equality.

Additional invitees include participants in the PM-JANMAN mission, tribal artisans, Van Dhan Vikas Yojna members, ASHA workers, and MyBharat volunteers, all of whom contribute significantly to India’s progress.
