The Indian Army successfully stopped an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector of Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday. Tragically, one Indian soldier lost his life during the exchange of fire.
“While foiling the infiltration bid today, one Indian Army soldier lost his life. Search operations are still joining on in the area,” Indian Army officials said.
Reports suggest the attack may have been supported by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) and targeted the area near Tikka Post in Uri. The operation occurred in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of 16 Sikh LI (09 Bihar Advance Party) and under the jurisdiction of Police Station Uri.
