India Responds to US Deportees in Panama hotel
India is cooperating closely with Panama’s government to guarantee the safety of 300 Indian migrants deported by the United States. The Indian embassy in Panama has confirmed that the deportees are safe at a hotel in the country.
The Indian consulate posted the news on X, assuring the public that the migrants are accommodated in a facility with basic amenities.
“Panamanian authorities have reported to us that a group of Indians have arrived in Panama from US. They are safe and secure at a Hotel with all the necessary facilities. Embassy team has received consular access. We are closely working with the host Government to ensure their well-being,” the embassy said.
