AFCAT 2 Notification 2024: 304 Vacancies, Eligibility, and Exam Date

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2/2024, aimed at recruiting officers for various branches including Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical). The application process opened on May 30, 2024, and will remain available until June 28, 2024. Aspiring candidates can apply online through the official AFCAT website at https://afcat.cdac.in/.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific educational and age criteria to be eligible for the various branches:

  • Flying Branch:

    • Must have completed 12th with a minimum of 50% in Physics and Mathematics.
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60%.
  • Ground Duty (Technical):

    • Must have completed 12th with a minimum of 50% in Physics and Mathematics.
    • B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% from an AICTE-recognized institution.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical):

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% from a UGC-recognized university.

Age Limit

  • Flying & Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical):

    • Candidates must be between 20 and 24 years of age as of July 1, 2025 (born between July 2, 1999, and July 1, 2005).

Application Fee

An application fee of ₹500 is required for all candidates except those applying through the NCC special entry, who are exempt from the fee.

Admit Card and Exam Date

The admit cards for AFCAT 2/2024 are expected to be released a week before the exam date. Candidates must download their admit cards online as no physical copies will be sent. While the exact exam date has not been announced, it is anticipated to take place in September 2024. Updates will be provided as soon as the date is confirmed.
