Hotel prices in Navi Mumbai, within 20 km of the DY Patil Stadium, are going up ahead of the Coldplay concert. On January 18, most hotels were either fully booked or charging between ₹25,000 and ₹90,000 per night. shows that many accommodations, including five-star hotels near the concert venue, are already sold out for the weekend. For example, MakeMyTrip shows that Courtyard by Marriott in Nerul, Mumbai, is unavailable. On Agoda, rooms at the same hotel were listed for over ₹88,000 per night on January 18.
Since the September 2024 concert was announced, Coldplay tickets on BookMyShow have sold out in minutes. This led to the addition of a third show on January 21.
On MakeMyTrip, Country Inn and Suites by Radisson in Navi Mumbai was listing rooms starting at ₹26,000 for two people as of January 18. Home Stay, Fern Residency in Turbhe costs ₹21,000 for a room for two people.
Hotel prices tend to go up during long weekends and holidays and this weekend was no different thanks to Coldplay’s performance in Navi Mumbai. For example, MakeMyTrip had rooms for ₹30,000 per night at Taj Ends Land in Bandra, Mumbai on January 18.
