Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, announced on Sunday that the state government is deliberating the launch of a pension scheme for unmarried men and women aged between 45 and 60. The announcement was made during a Jan Samvad programme in the village of Kalampura, Karnal.
Responding to a pension-related complaint from an unmarried 60-year-old man at the event, Lal revealed the government’s plan for the potential scheme. He indicated that a decision would likely be reached within a month.
The Chief Minister also announced the construction of a Sanskriti Model School in Kalampura and the initiation of infrastructure projects such as new school buildings, a road from Kachhwa to Kalampura, and the renovation of a local pond. Lal assured that all requests put forth by the village Sarpanch would be addressed.
Additionally, Lal directed the Deputy Commissioner to collaborate with BSNL to bring internet services to all Karnal villages, emphasizing the importance of online connectivity for today’s tasks. He also suggested mobile banking services for villages lacking a cooperative bank branch.
