Haryana Transport Minister Aseem Goyal participated in a “Safe Vehicle Workshop” organized in Ambala City, Haryana, aimed at training and raising awareness among school bus drivers about traffic rules. The workshop, held on Saturday at the Haryana Progressive School Conference’s Complex, was a collaborative effort between the Haryana Transport Department and the Red Cross Society of Ambala. Minister Aseem Goyal served as the chief guest at the event.
In his address to the media, Minister Goyal emphasized the importance of the workshop in enhancing the skills and knowledge of bus drivers and conductors in private schools. He acknowledged the crucial role these individuals play in ensuring the safety of schoolchildren, stating, “After parents and teachers, bus drivers and conductors are responsible for the safety of our kids. I commend the Haryana Progressive School Conference (HPSC) and the Transport Department for this significant initiative. It is a model that others should follow.”
The workshop is part of a broader effort by the Haryana government to improve road safety and ensure that those responsible for transporting children are well-trained and aware of traffic regulations. The Minister’s presence at the event highlights the government’s commitment to this cause.
In addition to discussing the workshop, Minister Goyal also commented on a recent directive by the Haryana government, which mandates that the greeting “Good Morning” be replaced with “Jai Hind” in all government and private schools from August 15. He praised the initiative, which was introduced by the Chief Minister and Education Minister, as a step towards fostering a sense of nationalism and patriotism among students. “This change will help instill a stronger sense of national pride in our students,” Goyal noted.
The decision to replace “Good Morning” with “Jai Hind” aligns with the government’s efforts to promote patriotism and national identity among the younger generation in Haryana.
