The wait might finally be over for the Congress Party in Haryana. After a span of nine and a half years, the party’s organisation in the state will be formed by the end of this month. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge himself has taken charge of it. Central leadership leaders have held a meeting this month to establish an organisation in Haryana.

Kharge himself will also attend this meeting. Other leaders who will be in attendance at this meeting include former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, as well as Congress leaders Selja Kumari, Randeep Surjewala, and Kiran Choudhary (S-R-K) have been called to the party’s headquarters in Delhi.

Sources close to the party have said that a meeting of Congress leaders can be held any time after 17 November. In this meeting, Kharge along with the leaders of Haryana will discuss the names of the district presidents and working presidents of the organisation.

Senior Congress leaders say that now the central leadership will not cause any delay in the organization. The list of district heads and working presidents will be released only a week after Kharge’s meeting.

Efforts regarding the new list of the organisation have been going on for 6 months. Party in-charge Deepak Babariya has also become increasingly active regarding this, but due to factionalism in the party, the list has not been released yet.

Experts on Haryana’s political affairs say that the influence of former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda will be very evident in the list of the organisation. Several political observers have said that Hooda has a lot of influence among the Congress leaders and workers in Haryana, he is constantly active among them.

Besides, his participation in all the state-level programs of the party is more than other leaders. Due to these reasons, the dominance of the Hooda faction is going to remain in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

Over the years, about four different factions have formed within the Haryana Congress. Apart from former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, there were factions of Kumari, Surjewala, and Chaudhary in the party, but now these three factions have united against Hooda.
