A 14-year-old girl died after jumping from the 13th floor of a high-rise in the upscale Amanora Park Town in Hadapsar on Wednesday afternoon. The girl lived with her family at the Amanora Trendy Tower and was a Class 8 student, as reported by police officials.
The officials further mentioned that the girl was along with her mother, younger brother and cousin in the afternoon.
A preliminary police investigation revealed that the girl’s mother wanted to sleep in the bedroom and asked her to move to the hall to study. This upset the girl, who then jumped from the lobby area on the 13th floor of the building, dying instantly.
Upon receiving the information, a team from Hadapsar police station rushed to the scene. The girl’s body was taken to a hospital for a post-mortem examination. A case of accidental death was registered at the Hadapsar police station, and an investigation was launched to confirm the cause of death.
