On Sunday, the Congress party in Kerala claimed that there has been police ‘Goonda Raj going on in Kochi after a young person was taken to the hospital for possible police torture.

The Congress MLA, Uma Thomos, and other members of the District Congress Committee paid the victim a visit in the hospital. “In Kochi, there is a police goonda raj. On the face, there are bruises and punch lines. Someone should respond in kind if the cops slap them across the face without cause. The cops behave as if they are not feeling it. Who authorised the cops to strike someone? Whom should we now complain to? According to Muhammad Shiyas, President of the District Congress Committee, he told the media.

While MLA Uma Thomas claimed that “no action is taken against the police no matter what they do. The police will replicate any error without hesitation. Such actions will undoubtedly face opposition. This youth was brutalised by the cops without cause. complained over the phone to the commissioner. I’ll send you a written report right away.
