Go First cancels all scheduled flights till 4 June

Crisis-hit Go First Airlines announced on Tuesday that its scheduled flight operations will be canceled until June 4, with passengers receiving a full refund. Previously scheduled flights were canceled until May 30.

The airline had recently declared voluntary insolvency. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) last week advised Go First Airlines to submit a comprehensive restructuring plan in order to restart operations in a sustainable manner.

According to a senior DGCA official, Go First responded to a show cause notice issued on May 8 by requesting that they be allowed to use the moratorium period to prepare a comprehensive restructuring plan for restarting operations and present the same to the DGCA for the necessary regulatory approvals before restarting operations.

As a result, the DGCA instructed the airline to submit a comprehensive restructuring/revival plan for a sustainable revival of operations within 30 days. The revival plan that Go First submits will be reviewed by DGCA for further appropriate action in the matter.
