Gas leak at fertilizer company in Nangal: Kids, teachers affected

After the death of 11 people due to gas leaks in Gyaspura, Ludhiana, another case of gas leakage has now come to light in Nangal. Some children and teachers complained of vomiting and difficulty in breathing.
Following the incident, the affected teachers and students were admitted to the Civil Hospital in Nangal. After investigation, it came to light that the gas leak was from National Fertilizers Limited, the industrial unit near the school.
After this, the local administration closed all schools in Nangal Block. The Assistant Director of the Education Department has issued a letter and ordered vacation across schools.
Later, DC Preeti Yadav went to the Civil Hospital to know the condition of the children and teachers.
At the same time, Education Minister Harjot Bains reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
