Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on 24th August 2025 on Jio Hotstar and Colours TV.
As Bigg Boss 19 gets ready for its grand premiere, its makers are reportedly working on adding a big name to the list. Former world boxing champion Mike Tyson is said to be in advanced talks with the show’s producers for a wild-card entry. Hosted by Salman Khan, the upcoming season is expected to follow the franchise’s classic formula of mixing celebrities, drama, and surprise twists. Tyson’s possible entry is being seen as a big move to raise the international appeal of the reality series.
According to a report by Bombay Times, discussions with Tyson’s team are ongoing, particularly regarding the financial terms of his participation. If all goes as planned, Tyson could walk into the house sometime in October, staying for about a week to 10 days.
“We are in advanced discussions with Tyson and his team, and the negotiations about his fee are currently underway. If everything works out, he will enter the house in October. The exact dates, however, are yet to be confirmed,” the report quoted a source as saying.
The makers believe that a global figure like Tyson could bring back the kind of excitement that international stars created in earlier seasons. “It’s been some time since we had an international celebrity in the house. Their presence always adds novelty and expands the show’s reach,” the source added.

Over the years, Bigg Boss has built a reputation for roping in international names who added glamour, curiosity, and sometimes controversy. Season 4 saw Baywatch star Pamela Anderson’s three-day appearance, which generated massive publicity. Season 5 introduced Sunny Leone to Indian audiences, a move that helped her find a career in Bollywood
The list of other international participants has included Claudia Ciesla, Sofia Hayat, Jason Shah, Veena Malik, Natasa Stankovic, Elli AvrRam, Mandana Karimi, Nora Fatehi, and Abdu Rozik. Every one of the above-mentioned names brought their own style and fan base, helping the show remain unpredictable. More recently, K-pop singer Aoora’s entry showed the franchise’s effort to connect with younger and more global audiences.
If Tyson confirms his entry in BB19, it would mark one of the biggest international appearances in recent seasons. His larger-than-life personality and global recognition as one of boxing’s greatest could draw fresh eyeballs, both in India and abroad.
The grand launch of Bigg Boss 19 is set for Sunday, August 24. The premiere will air at 9 PM on JioCinema and later at 10:30 PM on Colours TV. Fans will also be able to catch daily episodes on JioCinema’s streaming platform.
With Tyson’s possible entry, the makers seem keen to revive the spark of earlier seasons, ensuring that this edition of Bigg Boss has no shortage of surprises.
