Former CM Hooda meets Haryana governor, reviews flood situation

Former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda ran to Raj Bhavan to help flood victims in Haryana. After visiting the flood-affected areas of North Haryana, met the Haryana Governor along with the MLAs. During this, the former CM told that due to the closure of Dadupur Nalvi Canal, a flood situation has arisen in many districts of North Haryana. Lakhs of acres of crops have been damaged due to heavy rains. The former CM demanded that the government get a survey of the destroyed crops done immediately and pay compensation at the rate of Rs 40,000 per acre.
The former CM has described the state government’s arrangements as inadequate to deal with the flood-like situation in nine districts of Haryana. He said that no minister or MLA of the government reached to know the pain and suffering of the people. The CM also only conducted an aerial survey, while at this time he should go among the distressed people and share their pain.
Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda toured four flood-affected districts on a tractor. He visited Ambala, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar and Karnal, the home district of Home Minister Anil Vij. After this, he reached Chandigarh Raj Bhavan to meet the Governor today. Where he met the Governor and informed him about the problems being faced by the people in the field.
