The father of IIT Baba, Abhay Singh, who gained fame at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, has made an emotional appeal for his son to return home. Karan Grewal, a practicing lawyer in Jhajjar, Haryana, acknowledged the difficulty of this request, considering Abhay’s transformation into a saint.
Grewal reminisced about his son’s exceptional academic journey, noting that Abhay had excelled in school, prepared for the IIT entrance exam in Delhi, and studied at IIT Mumbai. He shared his last conversation with his son six months ago, revealing that Abhay had distanced himself from the family after that.
Before embracing spirituality, Abhay, originally from Haryana, worked as an aerospace engineer in Canada, earning a salary of Rs 3 lakh per month. Despite his professional success, he struggled with depression, eventually turning to spirituality. He traveled to places like Manali, Shimla, and Haridwar, before joining the Shri Panchdashnam Juna Akhara at the Kumbh Mela.
