During the Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra a group of framers held a protest in Rajasthan’s Alwar demanding a waiver of their loans.

Meanwhile, talking to the media one of the farmers complained and said the Rajasthan government has not fulfilled its promise of a farm loan waiver.

“Rahul Gandhi promised loan waivers for the farmers, but nothing has happened,” one of the farmers said.

Another farmer said “None of the promises were fulfilled. We are also facing water scarcity.”

Moreover, a distance of 3,570 km will be covered during the Bharat Jodo Yatra by next year. In the history of India, it is the longest march on foot by any Indian politician.

However, the Bharat Jodo Yatra aims to mobilize the party cadre and unite the general public against the alleged “divisive politics in the country”.

Furthermore, till now Bharat Jodo Yatra has covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, and is now in Rajasthan. The yatra is scheduled to culminate in Kashmir next year.
