As a mark of tribute, the island has reportedly been renamed “Zubeen Garg Island” on Google Maps. The gesture reflects the massive love and respect the late artist continues to receive across the globe.

Reports state that Zubeen Garg developed breathing problems while swimming during a yacht outing. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but could not be revived. Singapore authorities issued a preliminary death certificate that cited “drowning” as the cause of death.

The island where the singer tragically lost his life has been renamed “Zubeen Garg Island” on Google Maps. This symbolic tribute highlights his influence, not only in Assam and India but also internationally. Fans have hailed this move as a beautiful way of keeping his memory alive.
