Global singing sensation Diljit Dosanjh met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on New Year to celebrate the success of his most talked about musical event. Dijit gifted a poster of the Dil-Luminati Tour to PM Modi to celebrate the milestone of the musical event. Diljit shared a video of the meeting with the PM and discussed major challenges faced by Singers in India cause of certain guidelines issued by respective state governments.

This meeting of Diljit Dosanjh with PM Modi received a lot of backlash and was highly criticized by the farmers of Punjab. The farmer leaders claimed earlier Diljit protested alongside them in the year 2020 and stood in support of the Farmers’ protests.
The meeting irked the farmers who were protesting for their rights. One of the leaders of the farmers was seen expressing his disappointment over the behavior of Diljit Dosanjh and saying that Diljit should have gone to the Sambhu Border to protest with the farmers for supporting Jagjit Dallewal. Farmers also bashed Diljit saying, ” Meeting PM Modi raises doubt.”
