Delhi will reject Kejriwal’s false promises just like Haryana: BJP

]The Delhi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dismissed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement of free treatment for senior citizens as a political stunt. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized the announcement, calling it yet another election gimmick.
Sachdeva pointed out that for the past decade, Kejriwal has been claiming to provide free healthcare, including X-rays and tests, through Delhi’s Mohalla Clinics and hospitals. He questioned why Kejriwal now felt the need to mislead senior citizens if such facilities were already available.
Referring to Kejriwal’s earlier promises, Sachdeva noted that before the last Lok Sabha elections and again last week, Kejriwal announced a women’s samman allowance. Despite collecting forms from women and including the scheme in the 2024-25 budget, not a single woman has received any benefits so far.
Sachdeva criticized Kejriwal for referring to himself as a “magician” while making these hollow announcements. He claimed that the people of Delhi are questioning Kejriwal’s repeated false promises, calling him a “merchant of false dreams” after his latest health scheme announcement. The Delhi BJP President accused Kejriwal of being a master manipulator, often repeating unfulfilled promises to mislead the public. He pointed out that Kejriwal had also promised a women’s samman allowance to women in Punjab in 2022, but the scheme remains unimplemented. Similarly, despite announcing the same in Delhi’s 2024-25 budget, no progress has been made over the past nine months.
Sachdeva highlighted that residents of Delhi, familiar with the welfare schemes in BJP-ruled states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Odisha, can see through Kejriwal’s hollow promises. These states, he said, have successfully implemented women empowerment initiatives, unlike Punjab and Delhi under Kejriwal’s rule.
In conclusion, Sachdeva compared Kejriwal’s current position to that of Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kejriwal himself during the Haryana elections, where both were rejected by voters for making unfulfilled promises. He asserted that the people of Delhi would similarly reject Kejriwal for selling false dreams.
