Several parts of Delhi and the NCR region are affected by heavy rainfall on Tuesday, due to which the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for a few hours.
As per the IMD, the red alert was initiated from 2:45 pm to 4:45 pm. Radar showcased strong cloudy activity over western Delhi and parts of the adjoining districts of Haryana.

Alerts Across Delhi NCR
The IMD website also showcased a red alert for the South, West, Northeast, Southwest, and New Delhi districts. South, East, and North Delhi regions have been issued an orange alert. Meanwhile, East Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad are under the yellow alert. Gurgaon and Haryana are also placed under the red alert.
Rainfall and Weather Conditions
Parts of NCR also faced light to moderate rainfall earlier today; however, there have been no reports of waterlogging.
The maximum temperature was recorded at around 31°C, and the minimum temperature was recorded at around 23.9°C.

Safdarjung recorded a rainfall of 10.4mm, whereas Palam recorded 8.9 mm of rainfall. Lodhi Road received 5.4 mm, Pitampura witnessed 8.9 mm, and Ridge stood at 12.6 mm of rainfall.
The relative humidity was recorded at 100% at 8:30 am.
Air Quality Update
Despite the showers, the air quality of Delhi still falls in the ‘satisfactory’ range, with an Air Quality Index at 55, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (PCB).
