The severe heatwave had gripped Delhi for several days, with maximum temperatures nearing 50 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius. The unrelenting heat prompted concerns among the populace.
According to the weather agency’s forecast, Delhi was expected to experience partly cloudy skies with the possibility of dust storms, thunderstorms, and light rain or drizzle in isolated areas. Heatwave conditions were anticipated to persist at a few locations on Thursday. The forecast for Friday included the likelihood of thunderstorms, dust storms, and light rain accompanied by gusty winds.
The weather pattern is expected to continue with generally cloudy skies and similar conditions in the coming days, along with strong surface winds occasionally reaching speeds of 35-45 kmph.
