The Delhi-NCR region will get cooler over the next few days. A gradual decrease in temperature will make mornings and nights very cool. The comfort level for the residents might fall drastically as cold winds will penetrate the region. In fact, the temperature is likely to drop by 1–2°C over the next two to three days, with morning fog affecting visibility and thus causing inconvenience for commuters.
The capital continues to fight severe air pollution. The AQI is still at alarming levels, reaching the “severe” category once more. Delhi’s average AQI this morning was recorded at 400 at 6 am, showcasing the persistent environmental issue.
The ITO area in Delhi was covered with a dense layer of toxic smog in the morning, severely affecting visibility and air quality. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported that the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the area reached 400, placing it in the ‘Very Poor’ category and highlighting the ongoing pollution crisis in the city.

Delhi Weather Update
Mostly clear skies can be expected in Delhi-NCR on Thursday, although light to moderate fog was recorded over isolated parts of the region in the morning hours. Furthermore, a thick layer of smog has engulfed many parts of the city due to a combination of fog and high levels of pollution.
According to the IMD, the maximum temperature today is likely to settle at 27°C, while the minimum is expected to dip to 11°C. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 28.3°C, while the minimum was 10.2°C with clear skies throughout the day.
Colder Days Amid Fog & Declining Air Quality
IMD has forecast continued clear sky with light to moderate fog in the morning on Friday, 21 November. The temperature is likely to remain fairly constant with a maximum of around 27°C and a minimum of 11°C.
The weather is likely to remain the same between 22 and 25 November with clear skies and morning fog. However, it might get even colder; that is, the mornings and evenings will be colder. During this time, the maximum temperature could range between 24–26°C, while the minimum may fall between 9–10°C. Local residents have been advised to wear warm clothes and take precautions against the increasing chill.
