Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Seen in First Public Appearance After Attack

After surviving an attack, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta resumed public engagements at Gandhi Nagar’s ‘Vastrika’ event. She pledged cleaner Yamuna, improved infrastructure, and vowed, “I will not be afraid, not get tired, not lose.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was seen in public for the first time after she was attacked. She stepped out to attend ‘Vastrika’, an event held in Gandhi Nagar, Delhi. 

CM Rekha asserted on providing better facilities to residents across the Yamuna. She said, “A very large number of people live on this side of the Yamuna in Delhi and are waiting for Mother Yamuna to be cleaned… Mother Yamuna will start appearing better and more beautiful with time.”

She further stated that there will be an installation of water and sewer lines across Yamunapar, along with parking spaces and toilet facilities. She said, “Wherever there is no water pipeline, water pipelines will be laid there. Wherever there is a problem of parking, multiple parking lots will be built. Wherever there is no toilet, toilets will be built there.” 

Speaking about the attack, she firmly stated that she is neither afraid nor tired and will keep fighting till Delhi gets its rights. She said, “It is my vow to continuously fight with you…”

CM Rekha Gupta is expected to attend the grand finale of ‘Idelthon’, which was organized by the state industries department at the Ashoka Hotel in Chanakyapuri.  After that, she is likely to return to her Delhi Secretariat office. 

Since the Chief Minister had been attacked by 41-year-old Rajeshbhai Khimji, she has been staying at her Civil Lines residence. A case including an attempt to murder has been registered against Rajesh for the attack.
