Gaganpreet Kaur, the suspect woman who was behind the wheel of the BMW car that knocked down and murdered a Finance Ministry official in the capital city earlier this month, wasreleased on bail by a court in Delhi on Saturday. She was directed to produce a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.

The Patiala House Court conducted the trial on Saturday. The court, before delivering the verdict, indicated that an ambulance arrived at the site of the accident in seconds and stayed there for a minimum of 30 seconds and did not drive away with the injured to the hospital.

The court said the ambulance with paramedics was obligated to take the injured to the hospital and noted that it could be a case of medical negligence.
