An unfortunate accident took place near Dhaula Kuan in Delhi between a BMW car and a motorcycle, leaving a senior official dead and his wife seriously injured. The victim has been identified as Navjot Singh, a Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance, belonging to Hari Nagar. They were riding on a motorcycle when they were struck by a BMW car driven by a female. The impact pushed the motorcycle on the sideway and then run into a bus on their left.

Accident in Detail

The mishappening occurred in near Metro pillar number 67 at Dhaula Kuan. Witnesses said that the BMW was driven by a woman, with her husband, both from Gurugram. After the collision, the BMW turned over on the road. The injured couple was taken to a nearby hospital in a taxi hired by the woman driver and her husband, who themselves were admitted with minor injuries.

Navjot Singh was a respected bureaucrat working in the Ministry of Finance and was known for his commitment towards economic policy and planning.
