Puneet Khurana, co-owner of the popular For God’s Cake bakery in Delhi, was found dead at his residence in the Kalyan Vihar area of Model Town on Tuesday. The 37-year-old was reportedly dealing with a contentious divorce and disagreements over the bakery, which he co-owned with his wife.
Khurana’s family alleged that he was deeply upset with his wife, whom he married in 2016. They also claimed she recorded their final conversation and shared it with her relatives. Police have seized Khurana’s phone to investigate and are working to retrieve the recording. His wife is expected to be questioned soon.
The case has drawn attention, echoing a similar incident in Bengaluru last month, where techie Atul Subhash died by suicide, leaving behind a 24-page note accusing his wife and her family of harassment and detailing years of emotional distress.
