Television actor Raghav Tiwari, best known for his role in Crime Patrol, was reportedly assaulted by a biker following a road collision in Mumbai’s Versova area on December 30. Tiwari, who had just stepped out of his friend’s car and started crossing the road, accidentally collided with the biker. While the actor immediately apologised, the situation escalated when the biker began hurling abuses.

According to Tiwari, he questioned the verbal abuse, which enraged the biker further. “He got off his bike in anger and stabbed me twice. He then kicked me in the stomach, causing me to fall,” Tiwari recounted. The attacker allegedly retrieved a liquor bottle and an iron rod from his bike’s trunk, threatening further violence.

Self-Defence and Severe Injury

In an attempt to defend himself, Tiwari grabbed a piece of wood and struck the biker’s hand, causing the bottle to fall. However, this only provoked the attacker further. “He struck me on the head twice with the iron rod before fleeing the scene,” Tiwari said.

The actor’s friends quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite his injuries, Tiwari reported the incident to the police, claiming the assailant seemed like a “professional knife attacker.”

Police Inaction and Allegations

Tiwari expressed frustration over the lack of action by the authorities. “I went to the police station to register a case, but they didn’t listen. Even after collecting CCTV footage, no arrest was made,” he alleged.

The actor further identified the suspect as Mohammad Zaid, allegedly the son of Bollywood director Parvez Shaikh, as reported by IANS.

Tiwari, who has also appeared in several Bollywood films, is now urging authorities to act promptly and ensure justice is served. The incident has raised concerns about public safety and the swift response of law enforcement in such cases.
