Congress To Carry Reshuffling In Organisation In Coming Days, Telangana And Jharkhand Chiefs On Cards

With the upcoming assembly elections in three states and one union territory later this year, the Congress is all set to do major reshuffling in its organisation in the coming days with several key appointments on the cards, sources said on Friday.

Accordong to sources, the Congress is all set to announce the appointments of over 40 party leaders as secretaries.

The source said that the party will make the changes in the organisation to infuse fresh blood in the party.

The source said that the grand old party is also planning to change the stafe unit chiefs of Telangana and Jharkhand in the coming days.

The source said that Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who is also the party state chief can hand over the post to another leader in the coming days. Similarly, the source said that decision on West Bengal is yet to be taken.

Similarly, party is also planning to change its Jharkhand Congress unit chief Rajesh Thakur.

However, the source added that the change in Jharkhand can take place ahead of the elections or after the polls.

The source further said that the party is planning to change the party’s incharge in Madhya Pradesh.

Recently, former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also met Rahul Gandhi at his residence and it is believed said that he will made the Madhya Pradesh incharge.

The source also said that the party is planning to change the Indian Youth Congress chief BV Srinivas. The source said that Srinivas has been leading the IYCcfor over last four years and he may be given bigger role in the party.

The source also said that there is reshufflingnon the cards in Karnataka cabinet in the coming days as four to five Minister’s can be replaced on the basis of their performance.

The source also said that the party will also make some appointments of general secretaries in the party. “But it will happen after the assembly elections in three states of Haryana, Jharkhand and Maharashtra and in Jammu and Kashmir union territory,” the source added.

The Election Commission on Friday announced the election schedule for Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.

In Haryana polling will be done in one phase on October 1, while in J&K in three phases on September 18, 25 and October 1. Counting of votes will take place on October 4.
