Bulaki Das Kalla, a leader from the Congress party in Rajasthan, accused the BJP of skillfully manufacturing issues out of thin air. Speaking to the media in Bikaner amid the ongoing polling process, Kalla stated, “BJP is an expert in making issues out of non-issues. They don’t have any issues regarding what they will do in Rajasthan.”
Asserting the Congress party’s manifesto vision and highlighting welfare initiatives provided during its previous tenure, Kalla stated, “Our party has a manifesto vision, and the facilities provided previously (by Congress in Rajasthan) are also well-known to everyone.” People understand that the Congress Party is for the poor, whereas the BJP is for the wealthy.”
Drawing historical parallels, Kalla expressed confidence in the Congress party’s electoral prospects, stating, “Congress won in Rajasthan in the 1980 assembly elections, and then the party won in the state again in 1985.” Like in 1985, the Congress will win again and form a government in Rajasthan.”
The ongoing Assembly elections in Rajasthan involve 199 out of 200 seats, with polling taking place amid robust campaigning by major political parties. The ruling Congress is vying for another term, while the BJP aims to replace the Ashok Gehlot government, leveraging the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The counting of votes is scheduled for December 3, with heightened security measures in place to ensure peaceful elections.
