Cong, BRS distributing money, liquor in Telangana: G Kishan Reddy alleges

Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana President, G Kishan Reddy has alleged that the opposition parties like Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) have been distributing money and liquor in the poll-bound state.

G Kishan Reddy said, “Since yesterday morning, different parties, especially Congress and the BRS party, have been distributing money. It is the duty of the Election Commission and officers to stop it. The election should happen peacefully. Freedom should be there. I urge the Election Commission that the distribution of liquor should be stopped. One should not scare anyone. If such work is happening despite the presence of an officer, then action should be taken against that officer. Elections should be peaceful and fair.” He further said that the people should exercise their right to vote and a good government should come in Telangana.

“Elections are going to be held in Telangana on November 30. I request that the people of Telangana exercise their right to vote. A good government should come. I pray to the goddess that good people come to the government and they do good work for the state. Vote for whoever you like. There should be good people in the society,” he added.
Earlier today, G Kishan Reddy also offered prayers at the Shri Bhagya Laxmi Mandir at Charminar in Hyderabad.

All preparations are underway for the smooth conduct of polling for the Telangana State Assembly elections on November 30. In Hanumakonda district, almost 2500 polling personnel have reported, the district collector Sikta Patnaik said.

“In this Hanumakonda district, the arrangement for two assembly constituencies have been made so almost 2500 polling personnel are reporting here today and all food facilities have been provided for them…,” she said.

Home voting facility for citizens aged over 80 years and persons with disabilities has been completed, with about 26,600 voters using the service. About 1,000 other voters have also registered for the Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System.

The state has witnessed a three-cornered contest between the ruling BRS, which is bidding to return to the hustings for a third straight term, the Congress, and a resurgent BJP.
