To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo, a special event was organised by Sri Aurobindo Society, Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab on Friday at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Public Administration, Sector 26 in Chandigarh.
The theme of the event was ‘Applied Spirituality’. Banwari Lal Purohit, Governor of Punjab & Administration, UT Chandigrah graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Dignitaries from Sri Aurobindo Society, Pradeep Narang, K. Pawan along with Chairman of Sri Aurobindo School of integral Education, Arvind Mehan and the Principal, Garima S. Bhardwaj welcomed the esteemed chief guest and other distinguished guests. The event commenced with mesmerizing Bhajan Gayan by Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharya, the President Award Winning Vocalist.
It was followed by a beautiful drama presentation ‘ Harimohan ka Sapna’ by Masoom Group from Ranchi. Sri Aurobindo Society (SAS) along with Chandigarh Education department in collaboration adopted 35 Government school along with Aurobindo School to make teaching and learning get rid of traditional practice and adapt techniques of facing real world through various new techniques. Through this program students would be taught in such a way that they could face any situation of real world with ease and patience.
