Tribal welfare and the upliftment of tribal regions will remain at the core of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu-led government. He laid the foundation stone for several developmental works intended for the improvement of amenities in Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) zones while speaking at the World Tribal Day celebrations at Lagishapalli in the Alluri Seetharama Raju district.

He said the seven IAS officers appointed in these ITDAs will help create true governance and administration in the sensitive zones that have been established. According to the Chief Minister, with the right opportunities and support given to the tribals, one could envision unprecedented development.

Tourism and Local Industry Promotion

The Chief Minister stressed that tourism and food processing are the two greatest sectors for development of tribal areas. School infrastructure and healthcare have been topped on the list for his administration in terms of fund allocation. Raising awareness in tribal communities or the sustenance of long-term growth without encroaching on their rights, according to Naidu, is pivotal in enhancing the living standards of these communities.

According to Naidu, these agency areas are a “miracle of God” with natural beauty and cultural richness, and he considers the area very closely related to him.

Promotion of Tribal Products: Sustainable Tourism

During the event, Naidu also visited stalls displaying tribal products and launched a new logo for tribal products. He instructed officials to emphasize the promotion of tribal goods through international marketing channels so as to increase their visibility beyond localism.

He further asked how homestay projects in tribal areas would maintain an environment friendly enough to help guests to experience nature properly. Such actions represent the government’s commitment toward sustainable tourism, which explicitly benefits the tribal community.

Tribute to the Past incites Hope for Tomorrow

He also honored his predecessor, the late N. T. Rama Rao, for initiating tribal development in the State. He stressed that the entire development of the State is inextricably linked with the equitable advancement of the tribal population.

Naidu expressed his love for tribals during the function while tasting fresh Araku coffee, which he called a local unity product of labor under nature’s blessings. He assured that the government is still committed to development and will soon start engaging tribal leaders to discuss the way forward.

Vision Towards Inclusive Growth

Reiterating a balanced developmental approach, Naidu affirmed the government’s commitment to have the socio-economic status of tribal and plain regions develop side by side. Focused on welfare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment, the coalition government aims for gradual advancement of the tribal communities of Andhra Pradesh.
