CM Biren Singh Says, “Congress Responsible for Manipur’s Situation”

Manipur’s Chief Minister, N Biren Singh, expressed gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for assuring to restore peace in the state, stating that Shah’s visit has instilled confidence among the people. Singh also attributed the violence in Manipur to the Congress party, suggesting that if they had fortified the borders, it could have prevented the influx of migrants.

Amit Shah, speaking to ANI, emphasized the importance of restoring peace in Manipur while maintaining its unity and integrity, reassuring that the BJP government is committed to this cause. He reiterated this commitment in a rally, affirming that Manipur’s breakdown would not be allowed under BJP governance.

The Manipur CM criticized Congress for its “appeasement politics” and highlighted BJP’s focus on restoring peace through dialogue without compromising the state’s demographics or integrity.

The ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur, which claimed lives and caused significant damage, originated from clashes over tribal inclusion in the Scheduled Tribes list, escalating into a year-long crisis.
