The roadshow of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh, has been cancelled at the eleventh hour. In his place, Anmol Gagan Mann, a minister in the Punjab government, is assigned to do a road show. At the same time, the ruckus started before Mann›s roadshow. The ex-servicemen were opposing the visit of Bhagwant Mann to Nalagarh. Bhagwant Mann was to come here to campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party.
Former soldiers were raising slogans against the Aam Aadmi Party and CM Bhagwant Mann by wearing black badges. The Association of Ex-Servicemen said that all the promises that the Punjab government made in its manifesto before the elections in Punjab stand unfulfilled; only the people of Punjab were misled, and they are now coming to do Himachal. In Nalagarh, a huge number of ex-servicemen gathered to protest against the scrapping of the Guardians of Governance (GOG) scheme in Punjab.
The Aam Aadmi Party›s road show starts from Chowkiwala in Nalagarh and proceeds from the Old Bus Stand to the Aam Aadmi Party›s election office in Nalagarh. Bhagwant Mann was to make people aware of the public welfare policies of the Aam Aadmi Party and campaign for the party›s candidate, Dharampal Chauhan, from Nalagarh.
