Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, the Union Civil Aviation Minister, declared that Rs. 20 lakhs would be provided as compensation to the families of the deceased individual who tragically lost their life in the roof collapse incident at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1. Additionally, he also announced Rs. 3 lakhs in compensation for the injured.
Early in the Friday morning, at least three individuals sustained injuries following a roof collapse at Terminal 1 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport early Friday morning. The incident occurred as heavy rains lashed the city, causing widespread disruption and flooding. According to the Delhi Fire Service, the Airport roof collapse happened around 5:30 AM, prompting an immediate emergency response.
