China’s Foreign Ministry extended a warm welcome to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi is visiting China for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin.
The summit will be held from August 31 to September 1 this year. China will host the event. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said, “China welcomes Prime Minister Modi to China for the SCO Tianjin Summit.”
Guo expressed confidence in the success of the summit. he stated that they believe in the concerted effort of all the parties.

“The Tianjin summit will be a gathering of solidarity, friendship and fruitful results,” he said.
He further added that the SCO is expected to reach “a new stage of high-quality development featuring greater solidarity, coordination, dynamism and productiveness.”
