China has confirmed an agreement with India to end the prolonged military standoff in eastern Ladakh. The Chinese Foreign Ministry acknowledged in an official statement that both nations have resolved the issues surrounding the border standoff and are committed to implementing the agreement.
Speaking at a press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said, “Over a recent period, China and India have been in close communication through diplomatic and military channels on issues related to the China-India border.” He added that the two sides have “reached a resolution on the relevant matters,” which China regards highly.
Lin further emphasized that China and India will continue to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the agreed-upon measures, signaling a positive step towards maintaining peace along the disputed border regions.
