Chandigarh has kicked off its six-day Tourism Week, featuring a variety of events aimed at celebrating the region’s culture and attracting visitors. The festivities began on September 25 with a “Morning Raga” event at Sukhna Lake, showcasing live music and promoting the beauty of the area.
In addition to the morning concert, the Sector-17 underpass hosted a photography competition on the first day, inviting local photographers to exhibit their work. Sumit Kumar was awarded the first prize for his contribution. The exhibition will remain open daily until September 29, running from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon.
Upcoming events include a painting competition on September 26 at the Pierre Zoneray Museum in Sector-5 and a “Hop On – Hop Off” bus ride organized by Citco on September 27. A Punjabi musical evening featuring renowned singer Harpal will take place on September 28 at Sector-42 New Lake, followed by a folk performance from Jammu and Kashmir at Sector-17 Plaza.
The grand finale of Tourism Week will be on September 29, featuring a Bollywood musical evening with popular singer Shreya Kakkar, ensuring a vibrant conclusion to the celebrations.
