On Tuesday, the second day of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education met to discuss how to address glitches in the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for CBSE 12th-grade students and provide better, hassle-free technical support to students. During this meeting,
Student Sarthak Siddhant, a victim of the OSM system, was invited to present before the committee on the use of On-Screen Marking (OSM) in CBSE 12th-grade examinations, the difficulties faced by students, and other issues. This marked the first time such a student had been invited to present.
Committee Chairman Digvijay Singh stated that Sarthak Siddhant, one of the students affected by the CBSE On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, gave his presentation. It is now up to the committee to decide what decision to take on the answers provided by CBSE.
He also stated that the committee is concerned about the matter and will do whatever it can to protect the students.
Furthermore, in their clarification before the standing committee, CBSE officials stated that they have addressed the shortcomings in the re-evaluation portal and that the portal has been launched since Tuesday. They also claimed that concrete steps will be taken to strengthen the evaluation system for board exams in the future.
