The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have officially released the city-wise list of exam centres for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. The national-level management entrance test will take place on November 30, 2025, in three sessions.

CAT is conducted for admission to Postgraduate and Doctoral/Fellow programmes offered by IIMs and other top B-schools across India.

CAT 2025: Important Dates

Candidates can check detailed information, including the mock test and instructions, on the official website — iimcat.ac.in.

  • Admit card download: November 5 to November 30, 2025
  • CAT 2025 exam date: November 30, 2025
  • Result declaration: First week of January 2026 (Tentative)

CAT 2025 Exam Centres: City Wise

This year, CAT will be conducted across around 170 cities in India. Candidates can select five preferred cities in order of preference while filling out the application form. Once the exam centre is allotted, it cannot be changed. The CAT Centre also reserves the right to modify or cancel exam centres if necessary.

Here’s a zone-wise overview of the key test cities:

Northern Zone

  • Delhi-NCR (Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Panipat),
  • Chandigarh
  • Punjab (Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala)
  • Haryana (Hisar, Ambala, Rohtak)
  • Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Meerut, Agra)
  • Uttarakhand (Dehradun, Roorkee)
  • Bihar (Patna, Muzaffarpur, Purnea)
  • Himachal Pradesh (Shimla)
  • Jammu & Kashmir (Jammu, Kashmir)
  • Ladakh (Leh)

Eastern Zone

  • West Bengal (Kolkata, Siliguri, Durgapur, Asansol)

  • Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli)
  • Kerala (Kochi, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram)

  • Telangana (Hyderabad, Warangal)

Central Zone

  • Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur)
  • Chhattisgarh (Raipur, Durg)

CAT 2025 Exam Pattern and Structure

The CAT 2025 exam will be a computer-based test with a total duration of 120 minutes (2 hours). It will have three sections, each lasting 40 minutes:

  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC)
  • Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
  • Quantitative Ability (QA)

Candidates cannot switch between sections during the exam. A mock test will also be available on the official website to help students get familiar with the interface and question pattern.

Key Instructions for Candidates

  • The exact exam centre address will be printed on the admit card.
  • Changes in centre preference will not be allowed after submission.
  • IIMs may alter or cancel test cities based on logistical reasons.
  • CAT scores will also be used by non-IIM institutions, but their admission processes are separate from IIMs.
  • Candidates are advised to visit iimcat.ac.in regularly for the latest announcements, mock test links, and other exam-related updates.
