A massive fire broke out in the industrial area of Amargarh Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday evening, gutting several buildings and causing an estimated loss of goods worth crores.
Reports said the fire quickly spread due to the closely constructed buildings, ravaging the area known for manufacturing various products such as soaps, shoes, and other items. Hundreds of state and non-state workers work here in these units.
Firefighters, police, and locals joined forces to combat the blaze, working tirelessly to bring it under control. The area, densely populated with industrial units, presented significant challenges for the rescue teams.
