Brijlal Khabri, the president of the UP Congress Committee, has alleged a conspiracy behind the recent violent incidents in Manipur and Haryana’s Nuh. He claimed these incidents were orchestrated to impact the Lok Sabha elections slated for early next year. Khabri urged the public to recognize the crucial role the Congress party plays in preserving the Constitution and safeguarding the nation.
The Congress leader suggested that these disturbing events are part of a broader plot aimed at influencing the 2024 elections and expressed the need to protect the Constitution. Khabri was speaking at the ‘Samvidhan Bachao Sankalp Sabha’ event in Meerut, alongside provincial president Naseemuddin Siddiqui.
“The country and the Constitution are in danger, for which Congress is needed,” Khabri underscored. He mentioned that Sankalp Sabhas are being organised in every district of the state to protect the Constitution.
In the meeting, Khabri criticised the BJP government’s accelerating privatisation of government institutions and the resulting erosion of the reservation system. He expressed concern about the future of reservations if government institutions cease to exist.
Khabri also drew attention to the surge in unemployment and rising domestic expenses due to inflation since 2014, the year Narendra Modi’s government came to power. Siddiqui, also speaking at the event, linked the violence in Manipur to an imminent downfall for the Modi government, suggesting that those who disrespect women inevitably face a fall.
