BREAKING: Car Explodes Near Red Fort Leaving 8 Dead and Several Injured (Image: X/@Just_insync; X/@sierraoperator)
A car exploded near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday Evening. The explosion resulted in three more vehicles near the incident catching fire. Several people were reported dead as a result of the blast with many injured.
The explosion took place near the Lal Qila metro station gate number 1 on Monday, November 10th. The car explosion near the high security zone led to a raging blaze that set the nearby vehicles on fire.
Reportedly, seven fire tenders were deployed by the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) to control the fire. The explosion was reported to the DFS at around 7:00 PM.ย
A team from the Delhi Police Special Cell also reached the explosion site for further investigations into the incident.
After a few hours of the incident, Delhi, Mumbai, and Uttar Pradesh were put on high alert. The explosion has also been linked to the recently uncovered terror module in Faridabad.
A silver coloured Hyundai i20 has been linked to the Red Fort Bombing. As per reports, the car was parked near the Sunehri Masjid at 3:19 pm, leaving the spot at 6:48 pm, minutes before the explosion.
CCTV footage of the car also revealed the face of the prime suspect of the bombing, who has been identified as Dr. Umar Un Nabi from Pulwama, Kashmir.
