Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh announced on Thursday that BrahMos missiles will be manufactured in Lucknow starting from 2026. Speaking at a gathering in CMS Gomtinagar, Singh highlighted India’s progress towards self-reliance across various sectors.
Singh mentioned that BrahMos missiles worth Rs 21,000 crore have been exported, with additional exports valued at Rs 4000 crore. He emphasized the rapid progress in Lucknow’s infrastructure for missile production, with a DRDO lab already established.
The Defence Minister also lauded the BJP’s economic achievements, including the growth of startups and milestones in space exploration like Chandrayaan’s landing on the Moon’s dark side. Singh recalled the 2008 Mumbai attack, criticizing the response of the former Home Minister.
Singh expressed confidence in India’s defense capabilities, stating that the country can defend itself and retaliate if necessary. He shared the BJP’s vision for a prosperous India leading in wealth, knowledge, science, and spirituality.
The announcement regarding BrahMos missile production in Lucknow signifies India’s strides towards self-sufficiency and technological advancement in defense manufacturing.
