Two schools in Noida and Delhi, along with St. Stephen’s College, received bomb threats via email on Friday, prompting immediate action by authorities. Bomb disposal teams and dog squads were deployed to the locations.

Following standard safety protocols, the campuses were swiftly evacuated and closed. The police are currently conducting a detailed search to ensure security.

Schools promptly notified parents about the situation, alerting them to the potential risk. One school’s message stated, “We are closing the campus down for the day to conduct complete a sweep to ensure safety of all.” Parents were advised to keep their children at home, and those already en route were sent back. The affected institutions include Ahlcon International School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1 and Shiv Nadar School in Noida.

Delhi Police also confirmed that St. Stephen’s College at Delhi University had received a similar bomb threat via email. In a statement, authorities said, “Today at 07:42 AM a bomb threat via email was received to St. Stephen’s College. Our Bomb Disposal Team is at the spot.”

Threats Follow Hoax Case Arrest

These threats come just a day after the arrest of a 15-year-old Class 9 student who had allegedly sent fake bomb threat emails to four Noida schools.

Police revealed that the student used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to mask his location and IP address, reportedly to avoid attending school. He was taken into custody and presented before the Juvenile Court.

Noida DCP Ram Badan Singh told PTI, “Four schools of Noida — Step By Step, The Heritage School, Gyanshree and Mayoor School — got an email of bomb threat at about 12:30 am on Wednesday. After that on Wednesday, the school administration checked the email and informed police about the bomb threat.”
