On Thursday evening, a man on his way to Dubai was arrested at Delhi airport after he was overheard mentioning a “bomb” in his bag.
The man was apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on board a Delhi-Mumbai Vistara flight after a female co-passenger overheard him say ‘bomb’ during a phone call. The incident occurred at 4:55 p.m., causing the flight to be delayed by two hours.
According to a senior police official, the passenger was on his way to Dubai and had been speaking with his mother. According to the official, the passenger told his mother that airport security had stopped him from carrying a coconut in his bag because it could contain explosives.
When she heard the word “bomb,” her female co-passenger panicked and raised an alarm. Both passengers were then deboarded, and the plane was thoroughly searched, but nothing was discovered. The male passenger was then turned over to local police.
