In a startling development, Hanumangarh Railway Station received a bomb threat on October 1, following the discovery of a letter in a yellow envelope. Hanumangarh SSP Pyarelal Meena reported that the letter, addressed to the Station Superintendent, mentioned the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed and claimed to be from an area commander named Mohammad Salim Ansari from Jammu and Kashmir.
The letter threatened to bomb several railway stations, including Shri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Kota, Bundi, Udaipur City, and Jaipur, on October 30, stating that the attacks would be in retaliation for the deaths of jihadists in Jammu and Kashmir.
In response, Additional SP Pyarelal, along with Inspector Santlal and GRP SHO Mohanlal, conducted a thorough search of the Hanumangarh area and its platforms, but no suspicious items were found.
A case has been registered against unknown individuals at the GRP station. ASP Pyarelal Meena confirmed the incident and assured that security measures are being heightened to ensure public safety. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as investigations continue.
