A bomb threat was sent to the Taj Palace hotel in Delhi via email on Saturday, triggering a major security alert and immediate evacuation of the premises. After an intensive search operation by bomb squads and technical teams, the threat was declared a hoax, with no explosives found, according to ANI, citing Delhi Police sources.

Earlier Threats at Delhi and Bombay High Courts

On Friday, panic spread across the Delhi High Court after authorities received an email threatening a bomb blast on the premises. Hours later, the Bombay High Court in South Mumbai also received a similar threat, warning of explosives in the historic court building.

Intense Search and Evacuation

The email sent to Delhi High Court was reportedly sent at 8:39 am from an Outlook account. It claimed that three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) had been planted inside the premises and demanded evacuation by 2 pm. The message was filled with political statements and was forwarded to Registrar General Arun Bhardwaj around 10:40 am.

Following the threat, a massive security operation was launched. The bomb disposal squad conducted a detailed search for over an hour but did not find any explosives. Consequently, the court was declared safe.

Repeated Hoaxes Targeting Delhi

This is not the first such incident this month. Earlier, a bomb threat was sent via email targeting the Delhi Chief Minister's Secretariat and Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). Security agencies conducted thorough checks using sniffer dogs and technical equipment but did not find any suspicious material.

Later, senior Delhi Police officials clarified that the email was originally intended for journalists in Tamil Nadu. The email actually referred to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Secretariat, not the one in Delhi.

Official Statement

Delhi Police maintained strict vigilance during all these incidents to ensure public safety. Each of the threats, after comprehensive verification, turned out to be baseless, highlighting the importance of swift action and systematic checks in such situations.
