A woman’s body was discovered inside a suitcase on the Delhi-Lucknow Highway in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. The suitcase, found abandoned on the highway’s service road near Nizampur in Nagar Kotwali, was noticed by passing commuters.
Upon opening the suitcase, police discovered the body with visible injury marks. Although the deceased’s identity has not yet been confirmed, authorities estimate her age to be between 25 and 30 years.
Police and forensic experts immediately arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area for investigation. In addition to the body, the suitcase contained some clothing items.
ASP Vineet Bhatnagar indicated that the woman had likely died a day before her body was found. The police have initiated an investigation into the woman’s death and are reviewing CCTV footage to gather clues and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
